After the snow storm that closed schools throughout Winona, the city of Winona will begin a tag and tow operation to remove snow throughout the entire city.
The tag and tow will take place on February 4 from 12:01 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. on the odd side of streets and Municipal Parking Lot 3 on West Third Street. During these hours, the alternate side parking ordinance will be strictly enforced.
Vehicles will be towed to Borkowski Towing and Salvage on West Sixth Street in Goodview. Drivers must be able to provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance to the Winona Police Department to receive a release slip for their vehicle.
According to police officials, it costs $100 plus tax to release a vehicle with two-wheel drive and $175 plus take for a vehicle with four-wheel or all-wheel drive.
