A roll-over accident on I-90 left two Twin Cities men hospitalized Thursday.
The State Patrol and Winona County Sheriff's Department responded to the accident just after 10 a.m. Thursday morning. According to the State Patrol, Abdifatah Abdishaikh, 24, of Bloomington, Minn., was driving a 2000 Volkswagon Jetta eastbound on I-90 when the vehicle left the roadway, rolled twice and landed on its roof in the westbound lane.
Abdishaikh was transported by the Mayo 1 helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. A passenger, Mohamed A. Abdirahman, 26, of Apple Valley, Minn., was transported to Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse by ambulance. Abdishaikh was treated and released and Abdirahman was expected to be released Thursday.
