NAMI Connections: Mental Illness Support Group is a self-help group for people recovering from mental illness. It's a place to find acceptance, support and friendship. It will meet at Timber's back dining room on the first and third Monday of the month. The next meeting is on January 7, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. No registration or fee required. The Winona Area Autism Spectrum Disorder Support Group is for the families, friends and primary care providers of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (including Asperger's PDD/NOS or other related disorders). The Prostate Cancer Support Group of Winona will meet at 7 p.m. January 7, in the Parkview Conference Room of Community Memorial Hospital. A report on conflicting articles on nutrition and cancer prevention will be given. The group is for those who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and those recovering from treatment. Harvest House will hold their monthly meeting Wednesday, January 16, at St. Stanislaus Church. Mass at 1:00 p.m. with Father Lawrence Ginther as celebrant. A business meeting will follow in the church hall. Our guest speaker will be Kathy Foerster of Elder Network to discuss the options of services available to seniors.
