Ranch Riders will hold a New Year celebration on Sunday, January 2, from 3-5 p.m. at Big Valley Ranch, Inc. warming lounge, 22076 East Burns Valley Road. A complimentary light supper will be served. Past celebrations and future horse riding activities will be announced and discussed. Past and present stablers, riders, family and friends are welcome to attend. The Widowed Persons will meet January 3, at 1 p.m. (new time) at the Winona Friendship Center. There will be a brief business meeting followed by a speaker with information on the “Wellspring Singers.” There will be a lunch with time for fellowship.A special Executive Board meeting will be January 3, at 12:30 p.m. prior to the monthly meeting at the Friendship Center. The regular Executive Board will meet January 18, at 9 a.m. at the Country Kitchen.
Breakfast will be every Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the Country Kitchen. Dinners will be at 5:30 p.m. every Thursday at Culvers.
Young At Heart will meet Thursday, January 6, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart for Mass at 12:10 p.m. followed by a catered meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, buttered carrots, lettuce salad, roll, dessert and drink. Cost of the meal is $3. Bingo will be played. If you can, bring a small prize for bingo. Please call Marge Zettel at 454-3433 no later than January 4, with your reservation and if you need a ride. You don’t have to be a parishioner to attend. All are welcome.
The Hiawatha Valley Marines will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday January 6, at the Winona Area Veterans Center. All Marines and Corpsmen who served with the FMF are encouraged to attend. The initial meeting of the HVM committee for Flag Day support of the Veterans Memorial Park will meet at 6:00 p.m. prior to the HVM regular meeting. The Toys for Tots results will be reviewed. Mike Troke will present information on the establishment of a Healing Water Chapter in the Winona area.

NAMI Connection Support Group for adults recovering from mental illness meets weekly in Winona. The group is sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota. Trained facilitators who are also in recovery lead NAMI Connection groups.
