On Sunday, February 8, at 2 p.m., Blanche Krbechek, one of Minnesota’s foremost authorities on the Polish Kashubian culture, will be at the Polish Museum to discuss her latest translated book, “Childhood” (“dziecinstwo”), by Anna Lajming. This event is free and open to the public. She will be bringing Stanley Frymark, the B&B owner of Lesno, Poland, that many of you have boarded with, along for the discussion. The two of them always give rise to animated conversation only some of which will be about the book.
The book is already available at the museum, along with her two other books ”The Rose” and “The Four Leafed Clover.” Anna’s books are written in a style that makes you feel present to the story, so if you have any curiosity about what it was like to live in Poland during your great and grandparents times, visit in one of Anna’s books!
Refreshments will be provided.
