The City of Winona has declared a second tag and tow for the entire city to remove snow from Tuesday’s storm. During yesterday’s tag and tow, officers ticketed 101 drivers and towed 80 cars.
The tag and tow will take place on February 5 from 12:01 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. on the even side of all streets and Municipal Parking Lot 1 on East Second Street. During these house, the alternate side parking ordinance will be strictly enforced.
Vehicles will be towed to Borkowski Towing and Salvage on West Sixth Street in Goodview. To receive a release slip for your car, drivers must be able to provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance to the Winona Police Department. It costs $100 plus tax to release a vehicle with two-wheel drive and $175 for a vehicle with four-wheel or all-wheel.
