Tyler Eldridge, a Winona County Drug Court participant, is organizing his Phase 4 project by hosting a speaking event to provide education about parenting and addiction. Eldridge presented earlier this year at an event with the Winona County Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP), and was approached by many parents after the event with questions. In response, he is hosting a community forum style event to discuss the struggles and unanswered questions of parenting an addict. Eldridge’s speaking event will be hosted on Monday, November 21, 2016, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Church. A panel of parents and their children who are addicts in recovery will share their experiences to support others in similar situations. All community members are welcome to attend.
