Winona Health offers free Infant CPR & Choking Class

New baby in your life? Winona Health is offering a free Infant CPR & Choking Class on Tuesday, May 9, from 6-7 p.m. in the B.A. Miller Auditorium on the hospital third floor at Winona Health, 855 Mankato Avenue, Winona.

Anyone who will be caring for your baby should take a class in infant CPR — including you and any caregivers like grandparents or babysitters.

Unintentional choking and suffocation are the leading causes of all injury deaths for infants under age one. Even if you’re an experienced parent and have taken a course before, it’s a good idea to take a refresher because recommendations do change, and you can never be too comfortable with life-saving techniques. Be confident that you can care for your child in an emergency.

This class is free. Advance registration is required by calling 507-457-4161 or online at
