For the past 14 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters’ annual Taste of Winona has brought neighbors from across the region together to discover Minnesota’s small town treasures. Attendees can taste cuisine and beverage from Winona’s beloved favorites and new food while socializing and enjoying live entertainment. Guests will enjoy delicious food from this year’s kitchens including Anacabe’s Awesome Eats, Blooming Grounds, The Grill at Signatures, The Green Mill, Godfather’s Pizza, Jefferson’s, Nate & Ally’s, and Signatures Restaurant. Big Brothers Big Sisters is proud to partner with Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits to bring guests wine and beer tasting!
In addition, there is a silent auction for individuals to bid on items such as works of art crafted by local artists, exciting home items, and tickets to popular attractions. This year Bidpal will be used so attendees can bid from a smartphone or tablet. If you can’t make the event, you can also bid online before and during the event at www.bidpal.net/tow2017. All proceeds will support Big Brother Big Sisters of the 7 Rivers Region and its mission to provide children with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
This is a hugely social occasion, drawing in more than 200 people each year and it keeps growing. Its success is largely due to the enthusiasm and contributions of the Winona community, and has raised over $200,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters over the past five years!
Taste of Winona will be on Thursday, August 3, from 5-8 p.m., with the live auction beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Visions Event Center at Signatures Restaurant, 22852 County Road 17, Winona. Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased in advance at Big Brothers Big Sisters’ La Crosse and Winona offices, Hy-Vee, Leighton Broadcasting, and Midtown Foods in Winona, and online at www.7riversbbbs.org.
