Southeast Minnesota has a serious housing issue! The need for affordable housing for families is greater than the available resources. Additionally, high-risk families struggle even more to find safe and affordable housing options due to complications of insufficient income, poor rental history, and lack of funds to afford required deposits.
Grace Place has been addressing this issue since the very beginning of its work 25 years ago. The organization began as a maternity home, providing shelter for young women and their babies. As the work has changed over the years, the vision to support family stability has not. Come hear about what Grace Place is doing to break the cycle of poverty and dynamics that create risk and instability in the lives of these families at the American Legion, 213 State Road 16, Rushford, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 17.
The program includes live music, the new Rushford Story Video, and a presentation about Grace Place’s work to meet the needs of at-risk families in Southeast Minnesota.
