Public input needed regarding proposed fall waterfowl hunting season structure


Your input matters, and upcoming public meetings and other options to submit comments provide a great opportunity to help shape upcoming hunting seasons.

Waterfowl hunters and anyone else with an interest in Wisconsin’s fall waterfowl hunting season structure are encouraged to take a look at proposed season structure and submit feedback during March meetings and via written comment. Public hearings will be held from March 12-15; in addition, written comments are accepted through March 16. Following this public comment period, final season structure will be set by the Natural Resources Board at its April 11 meeting in Madison.

A public hearing will be held at the La Crosse State Office Building, rooms B-19 and B-20 (3550 Mormon Coulee Road) at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 13.

Department of Natural Resources staff will accept public comments regarding proposed waterfowl season structure at the public hearing. If you would like to provide input directly or are unable to attend the hearing, written comments will be accepted through midnight on Friday, March 16.
