Winona Sytate University (WSU) will host a public presentation with Katie Koestner at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, in McCown Gymnasium. Koestner’s presentation will address sexual assault, as well as issues such as respect, consent, healthy decision-making and alcohol, while inspiring attendees to become active bystanders in their own communities.
A campus workshop with Koestner will take place before the presentation at 5 p.m. in the Student Activities Center, Kryzsko Commons. Both events are free and open to the public.
Koestner appeared on the cover of TIME Magazine at age 18 and has since appeared on over 100 television programs, from Oprah and MTV to CNN and Good Morning America. Koestner, who has shared her personal story with over five million students, has helped to shape national laws and thousands of college policies, and impacted institutions ranging from the Pentagon and NFL to the United Nations and Division 1 sports programs.
