The 33rd Buffalo County Historical Society Backroads Tour will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, beginning at the Dodge Town Hall at W29861 Bambenek Street, Dodge, Wis. Tour booklets will be sold in the Dodge Town Hall parking lot from 9:30 to 10 a.m. for $10. The route works its way from Dodge, north on County Road P, to Brandhorst Road. Then it meanders down Plattes Valley Road back to County Road P. The bus will follow the highway south through Marshland then north on Highway 35 to Bluff Siding. After looping through Bluff Siding, the tour will end at the Town of Buffalo Park where lunch will be served at the Town of Buffalo Town Hall. This year’s tour hopes to highlight some of the railroad history from the Marshland area as well as selected histories along the route.
This is a self-guided tour, and tour booklets will also be available after the tour at the Town of Buffalo Town Hall where the tour ends. There will be a sandwich lunch available at the town hall for $5 starting at 11:30 a.m.
