Women’s hockey

Courtney Moser scored the game-winning goal 2:35 into the overtime period, as Saint Mary’s collected a 2-1 win over Concordia on Saturday afternoon at the Moorhead Sports Center in Moorhead, Minn.

Men’s hockey

Ryan Stoynich scored twice, as the Cardinals erupted for a season-high seven goals in routing Concordia 7-2 on Saturday at the Saint Mary’s Ice Arena, dealing the Cobbers their first conference loss of the season in the process.

Track and field

The Cardinal track and field teams combined for 11 first-place finishes at the non-team-scored Saint Mary’s Early Birdinal on Saturday, held at the Gostomski Fieldhouse.

Women’s basketball

Nothing came easy for the Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team in its MIAC game against Carleton on Wednesday, January 9. The Cardinals struggled to find their shooting touch all evening, but a stifling defense and some clutch baskets down the stretch earned them a 53-48 victory over the Knights at the Saint Mary’s gym.
