I bet you, my dear readers, are wondering what this title is all about. Well I’m wondering, too! Let’s get started …
We all have a lifetime in which to do our best — sometimes we even get second chances as we put forth an effort to do better. Every time we go to confession we seem to have that opportunity as we continue to fall in love with the God that made us, the God that forgives and loves us.
We don’t know how much time, how many years we have to turn away from sin and again walk the road that will help lead us to God, to our eternal home in Heaven. God wants this for all his human creatures.
AS I dwell upon our family members who have left this world, I remember to ask them to pray for our reunion someday. Let us not forget prayer is the energy that opens up the windows of our souls. Our Lord’s suffering was the source, which opened up Heaven’s door for mankind. Prayers and suffering help us find that door. Seek and you shall find; knock and I will open it unto you. We must be aware the world doesn’t show us the way that leads through this door. Great care should be taken to avoid all the pitfalls Satan has in place to snare mankind. Remember: our greatest happiness does not come of an abundance of material goods, but rather in sharing our wealth with those in need.
The Road of Life
“I expect to pass through this world but once. And good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now … for I shall not pass this way again.” -Stephen Grellet
