Tuesday, September 8

• At 3:18 p.m. officers arrested Amie Jo Dewitte, 30, of Winona, and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of first-degree burglary after she reportedly took two bottles of an alcoholic beverage from a property on the 150 block of East Fifth Street.

Wednesday, September 9

• At 2:20 a.m. officers arrested Ashley Meghan Fransis Hemmelman, 26, of Winona, and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of second-degree driving while intoxicated. According to the report, she was initially pulled over for crossing the fog line, having a suspended object hanging in her vehicle and having expired vehicle registration on Sarnia and Main streets. A breath test reportedly measured her blood-alcohol content at 0.19 percent.

Friday, September 11

• At 12:57 a.m. officers arrested Zachary William Mattison, 32, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of domestic assault causing fear and harm. Mattison reportedly grabbed someone’s face with one hand and squeezed on the 250 block of Sebo Street. He also reportedly took that person’s keys and phone, leading to them getting locked out of their residence.

Wednesday, September 9

• At 10:30 a.m. deputies received a report that a Stockton man lost $3,500 in a scam. According to the report, the man received a call during which he was told his Social Security card had been found in a vehicle in Texas. He was also reportedly told that he had to purchase $3,500 of Target gift cards to avoid a warrant being put out for his arrest. He bought the gift cards, according to the report.

Thursday, September 10

• At 12:28 p.m. deputies arrested Joshua Gerald Gibbs, 35, of Lewiston, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of gross-misdemeanor driving after cancellation inimical to public safety. Deputies reportedly saw Gibbs driving near Lewiston-Altura High School and recognized him as someone with a cancelled license.

Friday, September 11

• At 12:01 a.m. deputies arrested Israel Feria Maldonado, 20, of Arcadia, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of gross-misdemeanor driving while intoxicated on I-90 near mile marker 233. A breath test reportedly measured his blood-alcohol content at 0.20 percent.

Monday, September 14

• At 9:07 a.m. a Goodview man reported that a camouflage fiberglass duck boat he had chained to a tree last fall near Fountain City was missing.
