The family and friends of Kathie Valentine Ruhoff of Lewiston express their appreciation to the Winona area community for its support of the October 14, 2017, benefit held on her behalf.
All proceeds from the benefit will be used to help pay a portion of large medical bills and other expenses for her and her husband, Kevin, incurred when Kathie became critically ill during a visit to Ireland earlier this year. After nine long weeks, Kathie was discharged from Galway University Hospital. The majority of the bills and expenses are not covered by insurance.
The benefit was a huge success thanks to outstanding support from the Winona area community!
The benefit committee wishes to express special thanks and appreciation to the numerous individuals, businesses and organizations that contributed cash, space, baked items or merchandise; Chris Fitzgerald who chaired the committee that organized the event; Troy Jacobsen who entertained attendees with his outstanding performance of as Elvis; the Winona Post and Leighton Broadcasting for promoting the event; Rocky Rohn of Winona, who has offered to provide all of his Santa Claus for Hire proceeds this holiday season to Kathie; and to all who worked as volunteers at the benefit itself.
Kathie is continuing physical therapy in Winona, along with appointments and follow-ups.
On behalf of the benefit committee and our niece, Kathie, thanks to all for your support, thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
