After years of dedication, hard work and a few near misses, senior captain Callie Van Dyck qualified for the Minnesota State High School gymnastics meet. In a tie-breaking procedure Van Dyck qualified on vault in sixth place with a 9.2 and earned her spot on bars by finishing third with a score of 8.8. Van Dyck finished seventh in the all-around with 35.5 and 10th on floor with 9.2. Teammate Chloe Hughes placed 10th on beam with 8.55 and Adamary Rosas placed ninth on beam with a 8.625. The Winona/Winona Cotter team finished third with a team score of 136.05, their second highest score of the season. Chloe Hughes and Callie Van Dyck were also named all-section competitors for the season.
The Winona Gymnastics team is very supportive of each other and comes together well as a team. With four senior students and two senior managers graduating this year, the meet was a fun end to the season.
