The Wabasha County Historical Society is proud to announce its 53rd season opening weekend on May 19 and 20, from 1-4 p.m. at the Reads Landing School Museum. Admission is free with donations accepted throughout the weekend. The museum offers visitors a great opportunity to get in touch with the heritage of Wabasha County. Displays have been enhanced. New, through the generosity of Rodney and Linn Florin, is a 1927 Model D John Deere tractor. Also new this year will be a rug loom demonstration by Diane Franke and Judy Burfiend. They will provide information on preparing fabric to be woven into rugs. For the children, there are Minnesota activity books available from the Minnesota Historical Society.
The museum will continue to be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. until mid October.
The Wabasha County Historical Society is looking forward to making this another successful season.
