Rivertown Lions give thanks for Halloween Ramble giving

From: Heidi Monson

The Winona Rivertown Lions would like to thank the sponsors and participants of the second annual .025K Halloween Ramble on October 27, 2018. The event was a fundraiser for the Winona Community Warming Center, an emergency overnight shelter for homeless adults in Winona County, and other charitable causes in which the Lions participate. The 82-foot walk/run that included an optional costume contest included racers of all ages, from just 20 months to 78 years.

In addition to financial support for the Warming Center, personal hygiene items were collected. Because of our participants’ giving hearts, dozens of toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and feminine hygiene items will be made available throughout the winter to those in need at the center.

The Ramble would not have been as successful without such generous support from our sponsors. Our community is better because of your public-spirited mindset and compassion. Thank you!
