Free panel on electric vehicles at the co-op

Are you curious about electric vehicles (EVs)? If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to own an EV then listen up — there’s an upcoming event just for you!

There are 6,000 EVs on the road in Minnesota today; by 2030, the projection is 300,000.

Did you know that about half of Minnesota’s air pollution/greenhouse gas comes from transportation? Driving an EV is not only more fun but costs less to operate! A fill up today with Xcel Energy is equivalent to $1 per gallon and carbon emissions are reduced by 70 percent, according to data from Xcel Energy.

The community is invited to attend an hour-long question-and-answer session with a panel of local EV owners on Saturday, April 20, from 12-1 p.m. at the Bluff Country Co-op Community Room. Get up close to a variety of EVs that will be on display, and find out what it’s like to own an EV.

The event takes place during the lunch hour so feel free to pay for a meal at the co-op deli if you’re hungry and get ready for an interesting conversation.

The event is free and sponsored by The Winona Climate Action Network and Bluff Country Co-op.
