On April 24 the Winona State University (WSU) child welfare class is hosting its annual Child Abuse Awareness Walk. This event is open to the public and all, including children and pets, are welcome to participate.
This year’s walk will begin at 4:30 p.m. and last approximately half an hour. Students from the child welfare class will be set up in the gazebo, at the center of WSU’s main campus in Winona, prior to the walk to present about information regarding child abuse. Refreshments will be available afterward thanks to donations from area businesses.
Please join in promoting awareness on the issue of child abuse. For more information, contact instructor Dr. Ruth Charles at 507-457-5674.
