Winona Jiu-jitsu group takes 21 medals

Five Jiu-jitsu students from Flow Yoga and Martial Arts of Winona competed in Fuji’s Milwaukee Open Submission Grappling Tournament on Saturday, June 29.

Matthew Hartley competed at 180 pounds and won a gold medal at white belt in the Gi and a gold medal at intermediate No-Gi. Noah Hauser competed at 160 pounds and won a gold medal at white belt in the Gi and a gold medal at intermediate No-Gi. Robert Lupton competed at 180 pounds and won a gold medal at blue belt in the Gi. Jake Krueger competed at 170 pounds and won a silver medal at white belt in the Gi and a gold medal at beginner No-Gi. Trevor Roes competed at 170 pounds and won a bronze medal at white belt in the Gi and a silver medal at intermediate No-Gi. Competing with Team Vaghi, along with six other athletes from Wisconsin, the team placed second overall, winning 21 medals.
