The Noon Lions served approximately 175 staff and workers from the DAC and ORC. This annual event is the Lions’ way of celebrating these two organizations’ contribution to the Winona-area community. A picnic lunch of sloppy joes, potato chips, beans, pickles, pop and ice cream has long become a tradition. Held on the first Tuesday of July at the Irv Gepner Lions Pavilion, this is a time of much laughter and lots of smiles.
The Lions have served this lunch for many years and certainly reap as much reward from this event as do the guests. At this occasion, it has often been stated that the Lions receive their reward by giving, and guests give a warm, meaningful feeling through receiving. It is certainly a super day for all. If you would like to make a difference in the community while sharing fellowship and lots of laughter, then being a Lion is for you.
