The Winona Athletic Club will offer American Maikido, a modern form of martial art focusing on self-defense.
The training program will offer distance, entering/grappling, and ground zones. Classes will be held every Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, November 12. The classes will take place on the second floor of the Athletic Club.
Instructors are Kevin Burke and Lee Stoltman, both Black Belts in World Maikido and co-chief instructors in American Maikido.
The fee for the classes is $20 for an annual WAC membership, and $10 per student or family quarterly.
Uniforms should be full ghi or standard sweats. Rank progression will be available.
Classes are open to all students age 12 and above, or at the discretion of the instructors.
