Mary Graziano gets the local pianists together whom you love to hear! Each year before Christmas, they present “Christmas at the Piano” with Old Main’s wonderful Steinway, built in 1916. This is a delightful acoustic performance of Christmas music in the former Galesville University’s historic stone building. Old Main’s third-floor auditorium has been called the best place in the world to hear music. Some of the pianists offer new twists on the music you’ve always loved. Come and hear Ron White, Cathy Kriesel, Judy Byom, Kathy Meunier, Bette Stern, Roy Munderloh, Carol Lombard, Matt Dotta, and two young current piano students: Isaiah Higgins and Kelsey Fisk, on Saturday, December 14, at 7:30 p.m. Some of the adults will play in solo, duet, and even trio combinations. Complimentary refreshments served at intermission bring people together for convivial conversation.
The art on display will be Kathy Carlyle and Allen Sheldon’s nature photography, and Sam Bibby’s artistic welded creations. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for college students. The event is free to people in high school and younger.
