Every Tuesday night at Westgate Bowl you can hear the crashing of the pins and the cheers from the players as Project COMPASS bowlers hit the lanes. At the end of each session, plaques are awarded to two lucky bowlers. Congratulations to fall winners Marshall Stevens, Angela Lehmkuhl, Troy Fegre, Krystal Skrukrud, Chris Nelson, and Sheryl Himlie!
Lehmkuhl enjoys bowling every week and was very happy to receive this trophy. She even got a little emotional when it was first announced that she had won. Stevens said that he felt “great” about winning.
Skrukrud was very excited to win! She got a score of 95 on lane five with the other winner of the night, Fegre. With a huge smile, Fegre stated that it felt “awesome” to win!
Himlie said she felt good being named the 2019 Champion! She seemed excited about the award, and is so skilled that she said she doesn’t have “a lot of room for (many) more big trophies.” Nelson was awarded the final 2019 Project Compass Bowling plaque. It is his fifth major bowling award and he definitely earned it, bowling a turkey (three strikes in a row) in the final frames of his game!
