The Experimental Papermaking class at the Winona Arts Center has been rescheduled to Monday, November 20, from 2-6 p.m.
Your handmade paper may be used as finished sheets or
backgrounds for collage or a painting. Organizers have pulp — lots of pulp (mainly white
and reds plus remnants to re-pulp). If possible, bring a kitchen blender if you
would like to help create new pulp or re-pulp the remnants on hand. The workshop, led by Ray Kiihne, is for adults and focused older teens.
Bring in extra materials for enhancing the paper such as
scraps of colored paper, cotton and silk fabric, dried grasses and leaves, and/or
things that can be embedded in the paper. Those with questions about bringing extra supplies for the workshop may contact Ray Kiihne at 507-454-4651.
The cost is on a sliding fee scale of $5-20. The fee will be donated to
the Make Art Open for All Fund, the WAC fund to create a new front entrance
with a lift to both levels. Register by emailing Rkiihne@hbci.com or
by calling 507-454-4651. Space is limited to 12 participants. The Winona Arts
Center is located at 228 East Fifth Street.
