The Houston County Historical Society will hold its annual Old Fashioned Christmas on Saturday, December 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sunday, December 3, from 12-3 p.m. The museum has been decorated with several beautiful Christmas trees, with decorations belonging to Janene Hosch, Lolita St. Mary and Janice Doering of Caledonia.
Of special interest are pedal tractors from the collection of Dallas Nelson, Houston. Dallas is bringing some of his rare tractors and also two that children may ride. Also on display by Dallas will be 1/16 model farm toys.
George Moe, Caledonia, will demonstrate woodcarving featuring Egyptian carvings. Christmas aprons will be displayed courtesy of Marilyn Hempstead, La Crosse.
Visit the new exhibits at the society including World War I, Underground Railroad quilt pattern display, Grand Crossing, Minnesota and the Southern Minnesota Railroad.
Audrey Almo, Caledonia, will provide seasonal accordion music for all to enjoy. There will be a Christmas craft for children to take home and refreshments will be served.
