As part of Winona’s Kashubian Capital Centennial (KCC2020), a series of workshops will be offered.
Kicking off the workshop series is Polish paper cutting known as Wycinanki (vee-CHEE-non-key). Winona is fortunate to have located a Wycinanki expert, Katie Ritchie of St. Paul, Minn., to lead a workshop in this Polish traditional art form.
There are two workshops offered on Saturday, February 8, at the Polish Museum Morrison Annex, 363 East Second Street.
There is limited space in the first workshop being held from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants will work on designs in one paper color — red. The design can be adhered to a greeting card or framed. A three-dimensional design will also be created.
The afternoon workshop has filled.
The cost of the morning workshop is $15. Only a few seats remain so register online today at kcc2020.org/workshops.
While at the workshop web page you will see other workshops offered in Polish cuisine, Haft embroidery, and genealogy.
At the kcc2020.org full website you will find ALL the fun signature events scheduled for 2020.
