Saturday, June 10, 7-9 p.m. at the Winona County
Support local history and have some fun! The Winona County Historical Society’s summer fundraiser is nearing and you don’t want to miss out.
Of course you will find some amazing chocolate desserts from generous area restaurants, caterers, and bakeries; cold champagne; and the Great River Shakespeare Festival will treat attendees to a sneak peek at season 14 at the Chocolate, Shakespeare and Champagne event set for June 10.
Get your selfie poses ready for the photo booth (#CSC2017 #wchsevents) and your $5 bills ready for the grand prize gift basket drawing. The basket includes an amazing array of elegant prizes including a gift card to Signatures, tickets to GRSF, History on the River cruises, a family WCHS membership, champagne, fine chocolates, a stay at the Alexander Mansion, lovely champagne flutes, and more! New this year, fancy up your champagne at the mimosa and fruit bar. There will also be a cash beer and wine bar and live music.
“It is really a festive evening. People have said they feel like they are in some upscale downtown of a large city somewhere,” said Executive Director Mark Peterson, “The events we put on like CSC are important and play a large role in our annual budget. We are so thankful for such a generous community that are truly proud of their heritage and support the work we do to preserve it.”
Tickets for the event are on sale now at the History Center and are $25 for WCHS members and $30 for non-members. They are also available at the door, but pre-sale ticket holders get in much faster. The event is sponsored by Winona National Bank.
