Full lineup for Mid West Music Fest 2018 released

(2/14/2018)

Mid West Music Fest (MWMF) has released the full lineup for the 2018 edition of the festival that will take place in La Crosse, Wis., on April 13-14 and in Winona from April 27-28. The multi-venue, multi-genre festival will host over 130 acts with everything from local standouts to regional favorites and nationally touring bands.

Some highlights for the 2018 fest include the return of Nashville’s The Blackfoot Gypsies who blend 1970s-era Rolling Stones’ melodies with the rock ‘n roll swagger of The Black Crowes; the 1940s meets the 21st-century three-part harmonies of the female trio that heads up New Paltz, N.Y.: Upstate Rubdown; Milwaukee’s absolutely spell-binding synth-rock band GGOOLLDD; and Detroit’s equally exhilarating Flint Eastwood. Additional regional powerhouses include Minneapolis’ critically acclaimed Erik Koskinen, Night Moves, McNasty Brass Band, and Bad Bad Hats; Duluth stalwarts Charlie Parr and The Black-eyed Snakes; Madison’s People Brothers Band; and Chicago’s new wave of jazz and jam fusion acts Mungion and Marbin.

The festival has become a smorgasbord of discovery for young and old over the past nine years. It is an opportunity for locals to see bands that inevitably blow up and start playing huge rooms and larger festivals. Find the full lineup at www.midwestmusicfest.org.
