The Winona Chautauqua Club hosted Winona native Colm Fitzmaurice at its March program at the Winona County History Center. He resides in New York City and works at Bank of America. He is a soloist and music minister at the Good Shepherd Church in Manhattan and regularly performs in concerts and operas in the New York City area. This past Christmas season, he appeared as Bob Crachit in Amore Opera’s “Gilbert and Sullivan and Scrooge” as well as Count Almaviva in “The Barber of Seville.” Fitzmaurice, accompanied by Barbara DuFresne on piano, performed Irish ballads and songs for the Chautauqua Club in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Fitzmaurice is the son of Jim and Enda Fitzmaurice of Winona.
