Norma Duden, choir director of the Wesley United Methodist Church, will lead a Sing-in for the Arts on April 21 at 7 p.m. in the church Guild Hall. The theme is Blowin’ in the Wind, featuring the peace and justice songs of Peter, Paul and Mary; Pete Seeger; and Bob Dylan. The choir and praise teams will bring to mind the songs students loved during the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, and there will be a time to sing-along.
Coffee and munchies will be served in an ambience of flowers, beads, and lava lamps. People are invited to wear clothing the represents the era. A free-will offering will be received for the newly formed Charles Wesley Center for Sacred Music and Arts to continue a program that brings people together through music and other art forms.
