Memory Café: Twister Trivia
A Memory Café is an activity for community members with dementia and their caregivers to enjoy. Every Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., local organizations host a Memory Café at Beno’s Deli.
The Winona Public Library hosts the café on every fourth Wednesday of the month. The next one that the library will be hosting is on Wednesday, May 23. Attendees will play Twister Trivia. Participants will be divided into two teams and each player will take a turn throwing a beanbag onto the Twister mat. When the beanbag lands on a color, teams will be asked a question associated with the color. Each question is worth two points. The team with the most points wins.
This program is sponsored by a dementia grant from the Minnesota Board on Aging.
Book discussion: ‘The Beach House’ by Jane Green
“Disregarding local gossip that pegs her as an eccentric, 65-year-old Nantucket widow, Nan skinny-dips in unattended pools and steals her neighbors’ flowers before her dwindling funds force her to take in boarders, a change that brings an unexpected visitor,” according to the publisher.
This installment of Winona Public Library’s book discussion will meet on Wednesday, June 6, at 2 p.m. in the Bell Art Room to discuss Nan and her unexpected visitor in “The Beach House” by Jane Green.
