The Winona Arts Center (WAC) is excited to announce a watercolor class led by Diane Crane: “Watercolor for Beginners (and others)” on Tuesdays, May 22, and May 29, and on Tuesdays, June 5 and June 12, from 6:15-8:15 p.m. This is a rare opportunity to have instruction from an accomplished local painter who, since retiring from Viterbo University, very seldom teaches such classes.
This four-session course is an introduction to watercolor materials and methods for those with little or no experience. Crane will give suggestions for developing personal directions for the “others” that have prior experience working with watercolors.
This course is for adults or older teens.
Crane has been working with watercolor for a long time and has been a teacher for many years, including 25 years at Viterbo University, and through many workshops and classes elsewhere.
The class fee is $75 for WAC members and $80 for non-members. Non-members are welcome to become Winona Arts Center members.
Basic supplies will cost about $25; students are welcome to use whatever materials they already have.
Register by Sunday, May 13, if you elect to be included in the group order of basic materials. Registration will be accepted until class is full or the first day of class.
Register by calling Crane at 507-864-7585 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
The Winona Arts Center is located at 228 East Fifth Street.
