The 13 Historic Masonic stage drops selected for restoration and rehanging have just begun to be lovingly restored by the professional scenic drops restorer Kimberly Lawler and her local team member John Durfey. To celebrate that creative work, two public events open to all will take place on Wednesday, January 9. The Fine Arts Commission will hold its annual public meeting to update the community on this activity and all other creative endeavors on which the commission has been working at 5:30 p.m. on the third floor of the Masonic Theatre, 251 Main Street, Winona. Following the meeting, the historic drops restoration crew will hold an open house to allow a window into this delicate restoration process from 6-8 p.m.
