All events meet at the Whitewater Valley Visitor Center.
Saturday, February 2, 9, 16, and 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Join a park naturalist on each Saturday in February to explore the park by snowshoe. This is the best time of year to go off trail and see some unique areas of the park. Bring your own snowshoes or borrow some from the park. If there is not enough snow to snowshoe, the group will enjoy a hike. Please call ahead if you plan to bring a large group.
H.O.P. (Healthy Older People) into the Park
Wednesday, February 13, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Join for Whitewater’s monthly HOP program to learn about nature and socialize with other older adults! This month St. Mary’s University Biology Professor Raymond A. Faber, Ph.D., will share about his research with Henslow’s sparrows at Great River Bluff State Park. Start thinking springtime!
To check on program cancellations due to poor weather conditions, call the park at 507-312-2300 or check the online state park event calendar.
If you need an accommodation, please contact Sara at firstname.lastname@example.org or 507-312-2300 two weeks prior to the event.
