Mid West Music Fest (MWMF), in partnership with Winona Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits and Leighton Broadcasting, will be hosting a craft beer, wine and cider tasting and silent auction on Saturday, March 30, in the Winona County Historical Society (160 Johnson Street) from 7-9 p.m.
The tasting will feature a variety of beers, wines, and ciders from local and regional artisan purveyors served in a MWMF tasting glass that participants get to keep at the end of the evening. The silent auction will feature items from businesses such as The Current, Boats & Bluegrass, Blue Ox Festival, Lo-Hi Records and more, with all proceeds going to support the annual music festival. The evening will also include live music by local Celtic act Patina.
Tickets to the MWMF tasting and silent auction are $20 in advance or $25 at the door and can be purchased at www.midwestmusicfest.org or in person at Midtown Foods and Hyvee in Winona.
The mission of MWMF is to promote music and art in the region, creating opportunities for artists, stimulating downtown economic development, and providing diverse educational resources for artists, community members, and children. This multi-venue, multi-genre music festival in downtown Winona, and La Crosse, Wis., will feature over 120 acts across 15 venues. The 2019 festival will be held on May 3-4 in Winona and May 17-18 in La Crosse.
About Mid West Music Fest
MWMF was born in 2009 when AmeriCorps volunteer Sam Brown was stationed in the historic city of Winona, beautifully nestled between the bluffs and the Mississippi River. Now entering its 10th year, the festival is a four-day, two-weekend event with more than 100 acts and a dozen stages between the two historic cities — including many special events and collaborations throughout the year. The mission of MWMF is to promote music and art in the region, creating opportunities for artists, stimulating downtown economic development, and providing diverse educational resources for artists, community members, and children.
