Ooh la la! The Winona Arts Center (WAC) cordially invites you to its springtime gala, “April in Paris,” an evening of fun, food and fundraising on Saturday, April 13, from 6-10 p.m. This event continues WAC efforts to give the arts a lift and make its building accessible to all. The evening will begin with authentic French hors d’oeuvres, wines, cheeses, coffee and deserts. Vegetarian, gluten-free and non-alcoholic beverage options will be offered. Then, at 7 p.m., the renowned and always fun band, Under Paris Skies, will begin playing its unique and delightful repertoire of music inspired by the cabarets and cafés of 1930s Paris, featuring Ron Reimer, Steven Meger and Larry Dalton.
Throughout the evening, you’ll have a chance to win fun prizes, like colorful umbrellas inspired by French Impressionists painters; whimsical, pop-up animal umbrellas for the kids; themed baskets; French dinners; and much more. Tickets are $40 at the door, at Hardt’s Music on Third Street in Winona, or online at Eventbrite.com with a transaction fee. For more information contact Mary Kaye Perrin at 507-429-4019 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are unable to attend the event but would like to make a donation, please make your tax-deductible check to Winona Arts Center ADA Fund, and mail to WAC, 228 East Fifth Street, Winona, Minn., 55987.
