Winona is becoming a place known for arts and culture, and, as a result, increasing numbers of artists are looking to Winona as a place to live. Can the city accommodate their needs? If not, how does Winona need to change in order to welcome the artists and performers who want to live here?
Join River Arts Alliance (RAA) for a discussion about the local need for studio space for visual and performing artists in the Winona region. RAA wants to assess these needs, as well as discuss ways that to assist those who need studio space in which to work and possibly live.
There will be a meeting at the Public Launch (formerly The Outpost) at 119 East Third Street in Winona, on Thursday, May 2. Social time with light refreshments is scheduled from 5:30-6 p.m. The discussion will be from 6-7 p.m. Be ready to discuss needs, tips, and what RAA and the city of Winona can do to assist artists who need space. RAA Schmoozes are always free and open to the public.
The RAA Schmooze is a free bi-monthly event featuring special programs and social time for RAA members and the community. For more information about RAA visit riverartsalliance.org.
