The Great River Shakespeare Festival (GRSF) will return to the Visitor’s Center on Huff Street on June 1, 2019.
On Saturday, June 1, GRSF will return to the Visitor’s Center on Huff Street between the two lakes, just off of Highway 61. Last year, the festival enjoyed a partnership with Visit Winona. The visitor’s bureau generously offered to share office space, making it easier for visitors to Winona to pick up their tickets before a show, order them in advance, learn about Winona, and pick up some local merchandise.
The Winona Visitor Center is located at 924 Huff Street, Winona. Box office hours will be on Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets will also be available 90 minutes before each performance in the Performing Arts Center at Winona State University. For those who wish to pick up or purchase tickets on a Monday, GRSF staff will not be at the Visitor’s Center, but the downtown administrative office at 121 East Third Street will be open. The downtown office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
GRSF is a nonprofit, professional equity theater company in Winona dedicated to dynamic productions of Shakespeare’s plays, extensive education and community outreach programs, and comprehensive theater training. Its production season has become a staple in the Winona arts scene since its inception 16 years ago. GRSF’s 16th anniversary season will feature “Macbeth,” “Cymbeline,” “The Servant of Two Masters,” “No Child…,” and “White Rabbit Red Rabbit.”
