Jovy Rockey Jewelry wins grant for ‘Occupy Third Space’

Winona artist Jovy Rockey is a recipient of the Third Space: Artists on Main Street funding for her project titled “Occupy Third Space.” Using an existing bench and adding additional seating and planters you will find this space near the northwest corner of Lafayette and Third streets. The project’s goal is to create an inviting space on Third Street for people to gather, meet, and interact and is intended to allow people to exist and occupy a place in downtown Winona that might not otherwise be used. The unveiling event will be on June 20 from 4-8 p.m.

Light refreshments will be served at Jovy Rockey Jewelry - Studio + Gallery at 78 East Third Street.

This activity is part of Third Space: Artists on Main Street, a partnership between Winona Main Street, the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota, and Springboard for the Arts with support from the Bush Foundation.
