The Winona Symphony Orchestra will present its first concert on Saturday, September l4, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. at Harriet Johnson Auditorium in Somsen Hall on the Winona State University campus. A pre-concert talk will be at 7 p.m. The concert will feature “ Kaunana,” a Hawaiian piece by Michael Thomas Foumai; “Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor” by J.S.Bach; and “Serenade for Strings” by Antonin Dvorak. For the concerto, director Erik Rohde will put down his baton and perform with Hillary Kingsley.
Tickets are on sale at Hardt’s Music, 115 East Third Street in Winona, and online at winonasymphony.org. General admission tickets are only $15 for adults, $6 for college students with ID, and free for kids in grades one through 12. They may be purchased with cash or check at Hardt’s Music, with credit card online at winonasymphony.org, or purchased at the door prior to the performance.
