Goodview staff paints pumpkins to match children’s books.
The staff at Goodview Elementary combined its love for reading with decorating for Halloween in a creative way. They painted a pumpkin — or, in some cases, multiple pumpkins — to match a classic children’s book. Fourth-grade teacher Mollee Bjerke had the idea, and it may become a new tradition. In the photo above, fourth-grade teacher Kimberly Moran painted a Pete the Cat pumpkin to go along with the book “Pete the Cat: Five Little Pumpkins” by James Dean.
