‘Thriller’ dance in La Crescent Sunday

Local kids and adults will be performing as not-too-scary zombies, led by event planner and new La Crescent resident Meagan Waddell, in the second annual “Thriller” public dance performance on Sunday, October 27, at 6 p.m. on Walnut Street in downtown La Crescent. Spectators and last-minute participants are welcome.

“This free, community-focused street performance is intended to unite people of different ages and abilities around the positive influence of music and dance,” said organizer Waddell.

Waddell grew up in Lexington, Ky., where a public “Thriller” dance like this attracts thousands of people. Now living in La Crescent with her husband and three young children, Waddell wants to lend her time and dance experience to the community that she has grown to love.
