Two people were arrested on January 15 in the city of Osseo, Wis., following an investigation into alleged heroin being sold from a residence less than 500 feet from a school. According to police, a child was also present in the home at the time of the arrest.
James D. Guntner, 31, and Kiera M. Whitman, 29, were arrested on drug charges, child neglect, and maintaining a drug trafficking house.
According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department, officers executed a search warrant at the residence at 8 p.m. They reportedly found the two, along with a child, and more than three grams of suspected heroin, marijuana, drug packaging material and other paraphernalia.
The child was removed from the home by Trempealeau County Department of Human Services staff.
