Among the items displayed at the Wabasha County Historical Society’s Reads Landing School Museum is a soldier’s wheelchair in the military exhibit. Military uniforms, WW II ration stamps and a letter written by a WW I soldier are many of the artifacts on display in the military area. With COVID-19 protocol in effect, Wabasha County Historical Society’s Reads Landing School Museum has been able to host visitors. Masks and social distancing are required and hand sanitizer is available. Unfortunately, the 150 year celebration of the Reads Landing School, build in 1870, has been delayed.
The museum will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. through October 11, 2020. The annual meeting will be at noon on Sunday, October 11, 2020. This last day of the museum season and admission will be free. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Wabasha County’s history.
