Saturday, November 19

"At 6:12 p.m. Valerie Ann Wilson, 20, Winona, was taken into custody after allegedly attempting to steal approximately $340 worth of DVDs, CDs and a knife from Target, 860 Mankato Avenue. Wilson will be referred to the county attorney on theft charges.

Sunday, November 20

"At 9:15 a.m. Mark Mlynczak reported damage to the roof of a vehicle parked in the 350 block of Harriet Street.

"At 9:52 a.m. Samantha Jo Schmit, 22, and Matthew Neil Amborn, 22, reported the theft of two laptop computers leased from Winona State University, $80 cash and a Carhartt jacket from a residence in the 250 block of East 4th Street. According to the report, the roommates were home at the time of the theft.

"At 12:39 p.m. Megan Nicole Wandersee, 19, reported the theft of two cell phones from a residence in the 100 block of West Mark Street.

Monday, November 21

"At 9:41 p.m. Jenna Marie Lubinski, 19, Winona, reported that a Kodak digital camera and a Sony Walkman were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the 1750 block of West 6th Street.

Friday, November 18

"At 6:29 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 61 and Clarks Lane, Diana L. Purvis, 54, Cashton, Wis., was cited for drunken driving and no proof of insurance. Purvis's blood alcohol content measured 0.14 percent.

Saturday, November 19

"At 4:43 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 14 and Gilmore Valley Road, a one-vehicle accident sent one man to the hospital. According to the report, driver Patrick Thomas O'Connor, 20, Plymouth, attempted to negotiate a left turn onto Gilmore Valley Road and lost control of his vehicle, colliding with a utility pole. O'Connor refused medical attention, but a passenger in the vehicle, Bryon Robert Steine, 22, Plum City, Wis., was transported to Community Memorial Hospital by ambulance. The Minnesota State Patrol arrested O'Connor for drunken driving.

"Seventy-three alternate side parking tickets were issued.

"Sixty-nine alternate side parking tickets were issued.

Monday, November 21

"Thirty-four alternate side parking tickets were issued.

Tuesday, November 22

"At 12:15 a.m. in the Hardee's parking lot, Devin Bernard Bryson, 18, Winona, was cited for under 21 drinking and driving and allowing open bottle. Sean Michael Campbell, 18, Winona, was cited for minor consumption and open bottle. Jarred Wade Wronske, 18, Zumbrota, was cited for minor consumption.

"Seventy-one alternate side parking tickets were issued.

Thursday, November 10

"At 1:39 p.m. officers were called to Winona Senior High School to investigate a report of an assault. A 17-year-old girl from Houston will be referred to the county attorney's office on charges of 5th degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Saturday, November 19

"At 5:45 p.m. near the intersection of 3rd and Johnson streets, Mark Thomas Steffes, 27, was cited for obstructing the legal process. Steffes was then transported for detoxification treatment. His blood alcohol content measured 0.31 percent.

Monday, November 21

"At 10:09 a.m. officers were called to the Family and Children Center, 223 Center Street, to investigate an assault. A 15-year-old Winona boy who allegedly punched another student is being referred to the county attorney's office for 5th degree assault. An hour later, officers returned to investigate a report that the same boy had hit a teacher. The boy will also be referred to the county attorney's office on charges of 4th degree assault.

"At 12:11 p.m. officers were called to the Family and Children Center, 223 Center Street, to investigate an assault. A 13-year-old Plainview boy who allegedly hit a teacher will be referred to the county attorney's office on charges of 4th degree assault and obstructing the legal process.

"At 11:45 p.m. officers investigated a report of domestic assault at a residence in the 1050 block of West 5th Street. Anne Marie Laehn, 22, Winona, was cited for 5th degree assault for allegedly punching her 21-year-old boyfriend in the eye.

"At 1:16 p.m. Ahmad Jabar Godbold, 21, was arrested for 5th degree domestic assault at a residence in St. Charles.
