Wednesday, December 7

"At 1:59 a.m. a woman reported that 128 Oxycodone pills were stolen from her residence in the Maplewood Townhomes. There was no sign of forced entry, and the woman suspects the pills were taken by a houseguest.

"At 9:39 a.m. Blockbuster Video, 126 East 5th Street, reported that forty DVDs were missing from its inventory. According to the report, it was discovered that the DVDs were missing on November 18.

"Nineteen alternate side parking tickets were issued.

Friday, December 9

"At 2:04 a.m. at the intersection of 4th and Liberty streets, Derick Randal Soppe, 23, Winona, was cited for 4th degree drunken driving and possession of drug paraphernalia. Soppe's blood alcohol content measured 0.14 percent.

"At 12:16 a.m. officers responded to a report of an assault against a female at a residence in the 300 block of East 9th Street. Michael Earl Kulas, Jr., 20, Winona, was cited for 5th degree domestic assault.

Wednesday, December 7

"At 9:28 a.m. Emery Johnson of St. Charles reported the theft of approximately 800 gallons of diesel fuel (valued at $2,200). According to the report, Johnson's fuel storage tank was filled with 1,000 gallons on October 16, but only 40 gallons remained in the tank.

Saturday, December 3

"At 2:06 a.m. near the intersection of Riverview Drive and 2nd Street, Daniel Francis Redner, 21, Winona, was cited for 3rd degree drunken driving. Redner reportedly lost control of his vehicle, going off the road and coming to a stop with his right tire over the guardrail. Redner's blood alcohol content was 0.23 percent.

Thursday, December 8

"At 5:27 p.m. on Highway 61 near Homer Township, Amy Marie Glasgow, 20, Dubuque, Iowa, was involved in a one-vehicle accident. Glasgow reportedly lost control of her vehicle, which collided with the median and rolled over once. Glasgow was transported to Community Memorial Hospital by Winona Area Ambulance Service as a precautionary measure.

"At 7:00 p.m. on East Burns Valley Road in Wilson Township, Michael Benjamin Price, 17, Winona, was involved in a one-vehicle accident. According to the report, Price lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a turn. The vehicle left the road and rolled into a ravine. Price and his passenger were able to crawl out of the vehicle and reportedly only received minor injuries.

Thursday, Dec. 1

Officer issued 13 citations for parking/snow removal. All vehicles were towed.

8:42 a.m. - Officer received report of possible shoplifting at local convenience store.

9:16 a.m. - Citizen brought an abandoned bicycle to the police department. Bicycle is a boy's Roadmaster "Mt. Fury" mountain bike.

11:55 a.m. - Officer assisted with a two vehicle accident near 48th Avenue and Ninth St. No injuries were reported but driver of striking vehicle was issued citation for driving too fast for conditions.

Friday, Dec. 2

1:41 a.m. - Officer received report of a male juvenile runaway. Subject was located and returned home.

2:15 p.m. - Officer assisted with a car vs. train accident a 69th Avenue crossing. Vehicle had been unable to stop at stop sign and slid, striking the train. No injuries were reported.

9:30 p.m. - Officer assisted the Winona Police Dept. with a report of a man walking around Bartlett's Lake carrying a rifle. Winona P.D. made contact with subject.

2:45 p.m. - Kwik Trip reported a possible theft by check.

Saturday, Dec. 3

12:25 a.m. - Officer assisted Winona County deputy with a DWI arrest.

1:20 a.m. - Officer received report of loud music. Homeowner was contacted and warned.

10:05 a.m. - Officer assisted with a motor vehicle accident on Ninth St. Vehicle slid into curb. No injuries were reported.

Sunday, Dec. 4

1:37 a.m. - Officer assisted Winona County deputy with a DWI arrest.

Officer issued five citations for parking/snow removal. Vehicles were towed.

3:44 a.m. - Officer received report of a suspicious person. Officer was unable to locate.

Monday, Dec. 5

10:24 a.m. - Officer assisted with a two vehicle accident in the parking lot at Kwik Trip. No injuries were reported.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

3:45 a.m. - Officer received report of a vehicle in the ditch near Hidden Valley. Vehicle was gone upon officer's arrival. Investigation is ongoing.

10:43 a.m. - Officer issued citation for speeding 51/35 and failure to produce proof of insurance.

Wednesday, Dec. 7

10:00 a.m. - Local business reported theft by check on a closed account. Investigation is ongoing.

3:06 p.m. - Kwik Trip reported a possible gas drive off.

4:05 p.m. - Officer assisted with a medical response call for an adult female experiencing a diabetic reaction.

Thursday, Dec. 8

7:07 a.m. - Officer issued citation for expired vehicle registration.

8:22 a.m. - Officer assisted motorist whose vehicle had slid into the ditch on Theurer Blvd. Vehicle was towed out and officer warned driver for driving too fast for conditions.
